Sharon Highland, a distinguished leader in the finance industry, has been recognized for her outstanding contributions in asset management and investment services. She is President and Owner of Barak Asset Management LLC; a firm she founded in 2006 to deliver strategic and client-focused financial solutions.
With over three decades of experience, Ms. Highland has built a reputation for aligning clients’ financial goals with effective investment strategies. Her leadership has been pivotal in guiding clients through wealth accumulation and distribution phases with prudence and care.
Ms. Highland’s academic credentials include a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a minor in accounting, from York College, CUNY. She also holds Series 66 registrations and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) through a Wharton sponsored curriculum — credentials that reflect her technical skill and dedication to professional excellence.
Beyond her success in the finance industry, Ms. Highland is committed to economic empowerment and community service and development. In 2021, she founded the Amalgamated Businesses Consortium (ABC Corp), a non-profit charitable organization designed to provide small businesses and entrepreneurs with regulatory compliance and sustainable growth strategies. In addition, the organization hosts Adopt-A-Community initiatives to bridge the gap between resources and service to financial insecure communities Ms. Highland frequently shares he expertise through workshops with organizations including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the NAACP of Jamaica, and various churches and civic groups. She is passionate about helping others build wealth and gain control over their financial futures as well as sourcing essential items and services to meet areas of insecurity.
